Customer Reviews about Bureau of Motor Vehicles:
- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★As far BMV/DMV places go, this one is smoothly managed and friendly. Quick and to the point. Bureaucracy at is most efficient.By Mathew Tittle, August 12, 2017
- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★This is the greatest place. They are all at their desks working and as soon as they are done they stand up and go to the next person. When I went in today there must have been 15 people in front of me and I was out in 10-15 mins. Wonderful experience!By Deborah Wheeler, July 10, 2017
- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★I've been there several times, and I've never seen a BMV that puts people through faster. Depending on time of day and the day of the week, there can still be a wait. But it's never been longer than 10-15 minutes in my experience. The people who work there are all business. That's probably why they're so fast. They're not going to exchange pleasantries, and they're not going to sugar coat it if you don't have all of the right forms. But they know their jobs and if you have questions about the process, they are very helpful.By Joshua Primm, January 12, 2017
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Me and my wife went there at 11 am on Saturday(8/26/2017). Saturday this office is open till 1230 pm. There is not enough space for people to sit there. People were standing because of lack of seats. Ticket no are called (not posted on any display). Half of people can not even hear their voice when it is so crowded and when someone can not hear their voice and loose their turn, then these people are turned away from office because they could not hear their voices in such a big crowd. People are treated there as if office staff is doing favour to them. It's the duty of office staff to help people as they are paid by Indiana state people income taxes. Me and my wife documents were checked by one lady. She saw my US passport and other state Driving license, couple of USPS mail showing my address and thenput me in a line for a computer driving knowledge exam. Then she looked at my face and skin color and then asked me to show my visa. I said I am a US citizen. Basically she indirectly tried to say that I am immigrant and asked for my visa based on how I look and based on my skin color. Then she confirmed my wife green card, 2 mail documents showing address proof, Passport and put her in line as well for the knowledge exam. This lady was satisfied with our required documents. When me and my wife were done passing with the computer exam then two ladies asked for me and my wife documents again. Although our documents were already confirmed one time. Then two ladies said they can not accept the two usps mails as address proof. We need to bring bank statement, utility bills. I showed them out apartment lease. Still they said we need bank statement/pay stub/utility bill showing address proof. And we were turned down for our driving license and car registration. I went home and brought my bank statement and pay stub and utility bill. In the meantime my wife stayed inside the BMW office. When I brought my these documents to Bmv office, then they said it's over 1230 pm now , and office close at 1230 today and turned us down and asked us to come some other time when office is open. Even though my wife never left bmv office and she was inside since 11 am in this office. And I brought documents back at 1232 pm. Bottom line is they turned us down for driving license, and car registration despite of showing all kinds of proof. We were harassed and discriminated because of how we look and our dark skin color as the lady asked me for my visa after looking at my face despite of showing her my US passport. We have never been humiliated like this. I hope someone from the Indiana state government will notice this review and will try to improve this office staff behavior and teach them how to do their job and help people. I request Indiana state governor Mr Eric Holcomb to take action against this office and put some of the these staff through behavior therapy for non discrimination. I would have given them zero star if I had an option. I will write a written complaint about this office to Indiana state governor office.By Surender Singh, January 09, 2017
